Fernando is the Founder and CEO of LiftOps, an HR and operations consulting firm that helps startups and mission-driven nonprofits strengthen their people operations and organizational infrastructure. His past roles include Chief of Staff at Upsolve (Y Combinator W18) and the People Operations lead at Recidiviz (Y Combinator S19), where he supported people strategy, HR systems, compliance, and team development.

Owner and CEO of CO+HOOTS, a community-driven coworking space that has supported entrepreneurs and small businesses for more than 15 years. I’m a community builder at heart and deeply passionate about creating inclusive environments where people feel connected, valued and empowered to grow. I’m known for bringing people together and pairing strong operational leadership with a genuine commitment to supporting local businesses and meaningful collaboration.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me running or cycling, at game night somewhere around town or relaxing at home with my partner and our pup.

Michael Klein, CFP®, MBA, is the owner of Klein Financial. He provides financial planning, insurance and investments to professionals and small business owners. Mike received his BS in Finance from Arizona State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He joined the GPECC in 2019, to give back to the LGBTQ+ community and enjoys working with other queer business owners. Mike is currently on the GPECC board as the Treasurer. Mike lives with his husband, David, whom he met serendipitously at a GPECC luncheon. He is a proud father and a recent grandfather. For leisure, Mike loves to work on jigsaw puzzles, hike, travel, and tour the National Parks.

Mindy Robbins is the founder of Affirming You, PLLC, a trailblazing mental health practice based in Arizona. With both lived experience and clinical expertise, Mindy creates affirming spaces where LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals can heal and thrive. They train future therapists, lead inclusive internship programs, and collaborate with local businesses to build a more supportive, connected community. Mindy’s work is reshaping mental health care by making it more accessible, compassionate, and responsive to the diverse needs of those it serves.

Erick Martinez Gregory is a figurative sculptor fascinated by the human figure and the complexity of emotions. He is currently pursuing a career in clinical social work and is the founder and executive director of Human Ceramics Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a space for self-expression, emotional support, and community connection for marginalized populations through ceramic art practices. Through both his artwork and community initiatives, Erick seeks to create experiences that invite people to connect, share their stories, foster belonging, and create meaningful change.

Isaac Varela is a results‑driven healthcare operations leader with more than a decade of experience strengthening service delivery, optimizing workflows, and elevating team performance across large, high‑volume organizations. Known for his ability to build trust, foster accountability, and inspire excellence, Isaac has led diverse teams through complex operational challenges while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience, staff development, and organizational efficiency.
Isaac currently serves as the Clinical Operations Manager for Your Health and Wellness, where he oversees daily office operations, leads front‑office service delivery, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. His work includes developing and refining SOPs, implementing workflow enhancements, supporting technology adoption, and serving as a key escalation point for both staff and patients.
